Heart of Chaos is calling for artists to participate in UpRoar 2009, an open-themed group art exhibit. All mediums and expressions accepted. The objective of UpRoar 2009 is to provide a marketplace where artists can sell their work during prime holiday buying season. Entries should be priced with the intention to sell!

Opening Party Voluntary Donation:
Guests attending the opening party will be requested to make a $5 voluntary donation at opening party.
Dates of Exhibit: November 1, 2009 - January 31, 2010
Eligibility:
• Open to all California artists of all mediums.
• All work must be original and owned by submitting artist.
• All artists must be at least 21 years of age as South First Billiards is a 21+ venue.
• $30 non-refundable entry fee must be received by Heart of Chaos either by PayPal, check or money order payable to Catalyst for Youth no later than October 23, 2009.
• Entry form must be submitted and payment must be received no later than October 23, 2009.

• Maximum of 3 entries per artist. Maximum size 18"Wx24"H.
• UpRoar is an exhibit focused on the selling of art. All entries must be for sale. Maximum selling price is $500.
Entry Fee: $30 for up to 3 entries, includes free admission to opening party for artist named on entry form. Entry fee must be received by Heart of Chaos no later than October 23, 2009. Payment options include PayPal, check or money order payable to Catalyst for Youth. Cash payments are not recommended as they can be lost in the mail. Heart of Chaos is not responsible for any lost entry fees.
Payment by PayPal: Upon submitting the entry form below you will be redirected to a payment page where you can make a payment to Catalyst for Youth (Heart of Chaos is a program of CFY). Please indicate on payment your name/UpRoar 2009. (i.e. John Smith/UpRoar 2009)
Payment by Check or Money Order: Make payable to Catalyst for Youth and mail to the attention of Joanne Hobbs c/o Heart of Chaos, 1724 Alberta Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125. Please indicate in memo section your name/UpRoar 2009. (i.e. John Smith/UpRoar 2009)
To Enter: Complete and submit entry form below and ensure $30 entry fee is received by Heart of Chaos no later than October 23, 2009.
Installation: Artists are responsible for installing their own entries. After receipt of entry form and $30 entry fee you will be contacted via email with scheduled date/time for installation of your entries at South First Billiards, 420 S. First Street, San Jose, CA 95113. Artists are responsible for securing identification tags inclusive of artist name and phone number to the back of each entry.

Un-Installation: January 30 - 31, 2009 4pm-11:30pm at South First Billiards. Artists will be responsible for un-installing their own entries. For security purposes you must provide photo ID to a member of South First Billiards staff that matches the identification tag attached to the back of each entry. Entries will not be released to anyone but the artist. Entries still remaining installed at 12:01 AM on February 1, 2010 will be considered abandoned and become the property of Heart of Chaos. Abandoned pieces will be auctioned off at a later date to benefit Heart of Chaos.
